Conservatório Regional do Baixo Alentejo

24 AND 25 FEBRUARY 2020

Synopsis of the workshop

Music is one of the most important aggregating elements for the human being. Through it the feeling of belonging and communion reinforces our empathy, our capacity to see each other again, to be the other, to the point that there is no longer me or the other. The teaching of music has, more than ever, to remember and be reminded of this phenomenon so natural, alive and crucial. The purpose of this workshop is to be a space where music emerges respecting the individual, integrating him/her into the group. An exploration of sound, unpretentious, but attentive and active. Intuitive, improvising. Without pre-conceived music, distant. Just us, the discovery of our creative freedom and its concretion in sound.

Main contents covered

Basic improvisation techniques and concepts, exploration of expanded techniques/unconventional sounds, sound paiting, basic principles of music together under leadership.
